Who is

LAST LEAF?

LAST LEAF PRODUCTIONS was founded in 1999 as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) touring theater company.  Our goal is to provide affordable and portable, professional theater programs for the communities and families of Washington State.  Our focus is to make professional theater accessible to all.  From the beginning we have worked with libraries, schools, and parks in Whatcom, King, Snohomish, Grays Harbor, Pacific, Pierce, Lewis, Kitsap, Island, Mason, Thurston, Cowlitz, Grant, and Skamania Counties.  Last Leaf's programs for children and families perform at 30 - 60 venues each season, often at no charge to the public.  Thousands of children, their teachers and parents view our shows each year in communities from the Canadian border to the Oregon border of Washington State.  Our Shakespeare in the Park programs are enjoyed each summer in many communities including Woodinville, Arlington, Monroe, Bellevue, and Seattle.

LAST LEAF'S MISSION

is to produce and perform educational and entertaining touring theater for communities and families in Washington State with an emphasis on rural or under-served areas.  We focus on communities or groups that have limited access to live, professional theater due to economic limitations or physical distance from population areas with a larger performing arts community.

Last Leaf is supported, in part, by corporate and foundation grants and private donations.  All our administrative staff volunteer their time to make sure we continue to fulfill our mission.  This year we celebrate our 22nd Season of bringing theater to you.

ORIGINAL MUSICAL PROGRAMS

FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES

Each year Last Leaf produces and tours two to four original programs for families and young audiences. We work with schools and libraries to coordinate themes with curriculum and current events as well as multi-cultural stories.  Each program features a cast of 4 - 5 professional actors and singers.

We also want to thank the Washington State
Arts Commission for their support of our programs for young audiences

SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK PERFORMANCES

Each summer, Last Leaf produces and tours Western Washington with two, one-hour productions from Shakespeare's folio.  We edit the plays to stay true to the Bard's words and still make the productions fast-moving and entertaining for Shakespeare lovers and novices alike.
